I can't tell you enough about the compliments I get for
my Taylor’s Memphis leather cop jacket. It is by far
the most admired garment I've ever, and probably will ever,
own. Not just from friends, either. I had a guy search my
jacket as I was entering a show and he commented: “Sorry—I
have to check a really nice leather jacket thoroughly.”
“No problem,” I beamed, knowing if anyone would
know quality it would be someone who sees and touches jackets
all night for a living. People frequently say things like
“I’ve never seen a jacket like that, it’s
so thick and heavy.” It’s almost like they’re
swooning with desire. I especially like the black hardware,
the ribbed cuffs on the liner, the simple collar and most
of all, it looks fantastic. The leather jacket of a lifetime.
Thanks, David Marshall

I just recently purchased a vintage police
jacket from your website. I'm typically an apathetic consumer,
but I felt compelled to commend you on your excellent service.
First of all, I LOVE the jacket. I can't say enough great
things about it. You service was excellent, very prompt.
And the fact that you shipped it for free and even included
a return shipping label. in case I was unhappy with it puts
you over the top. Excellent products and excellent service.
Keep up the great work!

I always try to say 'Thank You' when I can,
because not enough people do that. We're all ready to complain,
but a good experience goes unmarked.
A few weeks ago I purchased a jacket from
you. It was an old ('60's) Boston Police Dept. leather.
My father had been in the Dept. right around that time and
had that same jacket. He always promised to pass it on to
me when I grew up. Well, things happen and the jacket never
made it's way to me. Many years later, wandering around
on the web, I found your site - and the same jacket. I bought
it as soon as I could, and was
delighted when it came. It is perfect. I couldn't be happier.
It gives me something to remember my father. I know it's
not 'his' jacket, but just having it makes me feel good.
Thank you.

Hello,
Just wanted to drop you a note regarding my order. The jacket
I ordered is very well made and the leather is very high
quality. The service I received was top notch. Your company
reinforces my faith in American made products.
Sincerely,
-Russell Schuckert

Being a law enforcement veteran of 28 years,
I can testify that street officers are always looking for
those things that "work best". Little things,
like the perfect coffee cup, and major things that help
us remain comfortable during our watch, like a good comfortable
all season jacket.
Twenty eight years ago, the fabric "Ike" jackets
that were standard wear at that time just weren't very warm
when the mercury dipped below the freezing mark. Leather
jackets were optional then, (as they are now) and veteran
officers seemed to favor the leather jackets. The approved
jacket was the"Memphis" model, a waist length
jacket with a Thinsulate lining and optional removable fur
collar. I have liked mine so well, that I have used it for
25 years, retiring it three years ago when I upgraded it
to a similar model with side vents, and removable Thinsulate
liner.
When it's not winter, I work as a Motor Officer, using a
"Phoenix" model motorcycle jacket. I cannot say
enough good things about Taylor Leather jackets, because
they are soft and supple from day one, and the leather is
thick enough to give you some very serious protection when
things start getting a little rough. I was shot once with
a .25 ACP, and the round never penetrated the leather. If
there are better police leather jackets out there, I am
not aware of them. Taylor leathers are packed with features
that the other guys don't have, and seem to be much more
reasonably priced than those jackets made by the competition.
